Accessibility

Riders of every ability depend on transit, so this website is built to be usable by everyone. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across usetransit.com.
What we do
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with visible focus indicators
- Content is structured with proper headings, landmarks, and labels for screen readers
- Text and interface colors meet AA contrast requirements
- Motion respects your reduced motion preference
- Automated and manual accessibility checks run before every release
Embedded tools
The alert sign-up and account log-in panels on agency pages are provided by the UseTransit rider portal. Each embedded panel has a text alternative link to the same flow as a full page.
