About UseTransit

UseTransit is the rider platform offered by local transit agencies. When your agency uses UseTransit, you can subscribe to service alerts by text or email, buy fares and passes online, browse routes and schedules, and see live arrivals in the UseTransit app. Everything is free for riders; the only purchases are your agency's real fare products.

Who builds UseTransit?

UseTransit is built by TransitFare, a transit technology company that has worked with public transit agencies across the United States and Canada since 2012. Agencies run TransitFare systems to operate their service; UseTransit is the rider-facing layer of those systems.

Why does my agency use it?

Local agencies choose UseTransit so their riders get modern tools, alerts, online fares, live information, without every town having to build its own app. Your subscriptions and account are always tied to your own agency.
